About our rates

Are these the final fares?
They are indicative starting rates. Your final fare depends on the vehicle, the distance and how long you need it, and we confirm one firm figure on WhatsApp before the trip. There is no surge pricing and no advance payment.
What is driver batta and when does it apply?
Driver batta is the driver's daily allowance on outstation trips, charged per calendar day at the rate shown against each vehicle. It covers the driver's meals and stay while away from Chennai. Local city packages do not carry driver batta.
What is not included in the rate?
The rate covers fuel and the driver's service. Tolls, parking charges, permits and state entry charges are billed as actuals on top, so you pay exactly what was spent rather than an estimate.
What happens if I go beyond the package hours or kilometres?
Only the excess is charged. Each vehicle has an extra-kilometre and extra-hour rate shown on its card, and those apply to whatever you use beyond the package. Nothing is rounded up to the next full package.
Is there a minimum distance for outstation trips?
Yes. Cars carry a minimum of 250 km per day and vans a minimum of 300 km per day. If your trip covers less than the minimum, the minimum still applies; anything beyond it is charged at the extra-kilometre rate for that vehicle.
Do you provide GST invoices for company bookings?
Yes. S V CABS is GST-registered and has been operating in Chennai since 2000. Corporate accounts are billed on agreed credit terms with consolidated monthly invoices that trace back to individual logged trips.
